The young women identified common areas of consllict such as water pollution, sorcery, drug abuse, land disputed, and alluvial mining. They then worked through underlying causes and possible resolutions together.
"I always thought that only men can be peace builders and that onyl they have the power to solve conflict. From this training I learned that I am a young leader and can pariticpate in decision making"
"The training has changed the way I think of solving issues in my family and commuinty. I never consider the root cause of the conflict and now that i understand I will help my family back at home to understand so that we can resolve issues in the community and live happily".
"I know I have changed through this training. I feel happy and stifisfied and I will share with my family what I learnt during this one week. I am happy to lean that I can too be a leader and part of the decision making."
This training follows a workshop in the South region. The final training will be conducted in the North region later this year.
